anyone have problems with their weathertechs?
i have a fix front end and back simply the front mats are starting to scroll near the edges of the door. the driver side is non curing as bad, which is surprising because y'all would think the side that would gyre showtime would be the driverside because that side of the truck is used more frequently.

but nope... the passenger side is actually curled manner worse and i dont know whats causing it considering that door is not used as oft.

i take them out to dust them off and occasionally wash them with simply water and a rag (i dont use soap and so the dont get discolored) and i dry out them with a towel then let them dry

i wrote this post to see if anyone else has this problem and too to see if there is anything i can exercise to get them back to the right form

pictures went a petty crazy...not sure what happened but some are posted more than once. there is only one pic of the driverside

  2. How quondam are they? The WTs in my wife's Tahoe that are several years old are beginning to curl, but for some reason they've never fit well.

try heating them with a oestrus gun/hair dryer and re-molding them. if that doesnt work, weathertech has a render policy and should honor it

When I bought my 2013 Taco I ordered a set up of weathertechs but the passenger side mat was elevated a little by the door sill and the passenger side door would strike it. I had the dealer I bought them from contact Weathertech and they advised me they never had an outcome before and then they stood past their product. I would say the door is what may have made it worse in your example once information technology started to lift. I then ordered a set of Husky Xact fit liners and they fit like a glove and are softer and pliable. I would call weathertech though and see what they say. Good luck.

My rider side WT didn't fit well from the get get. Called then after nearly 2 weeks and they shipped me another one right out, just sent them a motion-picture show of it and gave them my society number. All is good at present. That was about 5 months agone and it notwithstanding looks good. Must have had a bad batch or something.
  8. I dont have these, but my father has WTs in his Challenger, and they expect exactly like yours do. Hes had them virtually ii or 3 years. I noticed them when I rode in information technology last, and thought it was very foreign. May be a WT affair?
  9. That would drive me bonkers.

I have a heavy duty cheap rubber set from Walmart and love em

  11. Double sided tape and crank the heat for a hour?

I gave abroad two sets of manufactory mats on Craigslist last calendar week or I'd throw them your way.

If WT politely invites you to have sexual activity with yourself, try the estrus gun method like Jason suggested. I'd heat them while out of the truck and over-bend it as your doing it.

Interesting, I haven't seen it but of course the WTs in my Tacoma are new. I did have a set in my Jeep Wrangler for half dozen years without a problem. I too think a call or email to WT would be worth a try.

Information technology might be a shot in the nighttime but are you sure they are the proper fit for your vehicle, if that is non the problem then WT should stand behind them, personally I have always been happy with the WT Customer Service Dept.

This happened to my WT's when my sister kicked up the passenger side floor mat and shut the door. So then everytime someone would open and shut the door, the mat could get peeled back more and more. Eventually I noticed the door not closing correctly and saw the mat all tangled upwards like yours. The plastic that weathertech uses is very malleable. What I did was took the mats out of the car and got something heavy (like a phone volume) some pieces of wood and flattened it out and allow it sit over dark. The next day, the mats were merely similar new once again. A heat gun or a powerful hair dryer would probably soften it plenty to bend it back likewise(as others take suggested).
  16. Those are horrible! I would definitely give them a telephone call.

    Glad I bought Husky Liners.

well thanks for all the replies. i emailed the customer service with the same exact matter i posted here and here is what they told me:

"Thanks for your interest in MacNeil Automotive.

Looking at the photos, the retention devices are not installed. This is allowing the FloorLiners to slide and lose their shape. The all-time suggestion I can offer is to curve the edges back so that the FloorLiners are turned within out. If you go out them like this overnight, the edges should return to their original shape. If you provide u.s. with your mailing accost, we can send out some new retention hooks to install before you put the mats back in the vehicle.

Our warranty is three years against manufacturing defects to the original purchaser. Equally you accept had the mats for about two years, I would assume that they are past the warranty period at this point.

Delight let u.s. know if you have further questions and nosotros will be happy to help."

i volition be sending the address to get the retention hooks only i highly doubt that those little hooks could keep the whole side of the mat from curling like that.

idk ill give it a try and if information technology dont work i may wait into husky liners

I believe that the problem is caused by the edge of the mats not fitting under the edge of the door when it closes.

While sitting inside the. Truck have a paint stirrer stick or stiff ruler and hold the edge of of the mat downwards against the door jamb while closing the door. If the door passes over the mat so it should return to the uncurled position.

Ughhh you gave them an "out". Did your truck non come up with hooks? I seriously incertitude that is what caused that problem but the fact that you don't have the retentiveness hooks could probably justify them giving that reason. Lame, merely probably how it is.
  20. I've had weathertechs in the past. I believe they are overrated. They are worshiped on this site though, so my stance is not a popular one.

I have the OEM rubber mats. Yeah, a footling sand and clay gets on the carpet along the edges that needs to exist vacuumed occasionally. Oh...the Horror!
